  • Contains : Lead and Barium 

  • Color : Tint Champagne Gold 

  • Optical : High Optical Grade 

  • Maximum Size: 1200mm x 2600mm 

Frame

  • Made from specialized Isotope-lite lead and barium glazing plate. 

  • Sealant: Neutral Type 

  • Minimum thickness: 15 mm 

Physical Properties

  • Density: 4.8g.cm

  • Refractive Index: 1.757

  • Minimum Transmittance @550 mm: 85%

  • Parallelism error: 5 minutes of maximum

  • Heavy Metal Content: Lead 55% Barium 15%

  • Mohs’ hardness: 6

  • Thermal expansion coefficient: 30° - 380°

Notes when using Isotope-lite

  • Not be used in atmosphere filled with acidic gases and excessive humidity.

  • Sealant used must not be acidic or alkali

  • Edges to be ground and finished

  • Any damages (cracking, chipping) may cause Isotope – lite to lose its shielding effect against radiation

  • Only neutral type of detergent shall be use for cleaning

  • Glass surface must be protected by acid free tissues and brown paper wrapping

  • Visible light transmission 83% 

Effective dose transmission factor of lead for MeV Gamma Ray.

  • Lead thickness 5 mm 

  • Effective dose transmission factor 52.6 %. 

  • Lead thickness 7.5 mm - Effective dose transmission factor 36%.
